No more Bug

It has been a quiet weekend so far, which has been good considering this past week. For those of you who
didn't get called at 2:30 in the AM last Wednesday — that orange VW Bug (aka Urge Jr.) has cranked it's last.

I was up in Durham for a little Fat Tuesday get together and was a little late getting back. I made it as far as one
of the Cary exits off US 40 before the Bug began hammering and slowing down. Bummer. I walked to a nearby hotel
but they didn't have any vacancies. More bummer. I roused out of bed one of the lads who lives out that way and he
let me stay at his place for the rest of the night. That morning another of the lads drove me out to where I'd left
the bug and I got a tow to a shop in downtown Cary, which is a nice place — but I wasn't in the mood.

A few hours later the shop owner told me I'd be needing a new engine, which really didn't (and doesn't) seem like
a smart thing to do, considering the car has a lot of problems with it. And it was even more bummer to spend a vacation
day in Cary while in a bad mood, wearing the same clothes you wore the night before and short on cash. I would have
been a lot shorter on cash, in fact, if it wasn't for the fact that I'd put dinner on the card and gotten some cash from
the lads at the Fat Tuesday dinner.

And yes I'm driving the Blue Toy now (that blue Toyota pickup), thanks to a great offer from my Pops.

Anyway — mad props out to Mr. Rational, Mr. Jiu-Jitsu and Depressed Kev who all were woken up really early; to
my Motorola cell phone, who's battery lasts a long time; and to Pops, who found me a ride back to Goldsberry.
