Well, just in case you guys thought I was rounded up by militants or the FBI, I'm still here...
I've recently noticed that one of my favorite online-essayists, Heather Havrilesky has started a
blog. Havrilesy is a NC native and is best
known (by me anyway) for her work as senior editor of the late
Suck, a "pre-bloging" site with some good commentary and no porn, despite
the site's name. Continuing the trend, Havrilesky's site's name is also
not-safe-for-work.
Speaking of work ... at the newspaper where I work we get a lot of submissions from folks who want to write columns or
draw cartoons. Most of them should not be doing those things, but every once and a while we get someone who does a decent job.
One of those folks is Sean Carter, a Californian attorney/standup
comedian. His site, lawpsided, is worth a visit.
