Randomness

Well, I've been told to update more often, so I'm going to try and get back on track with this thing.

For some reasons I just like UK
news sites. It isn't that I'm an
anglophile, I just appreciate the difference of perspective.
I've recently discovered a new (to me) UK editorial site — Spiked.
It is an interesting site, and well worth some browsing time.

if you see me running,
try to keep up.

Sharing information

One of the ideas behind the World Wide Web is
sharing information. Although looking around the web these days it doesn't look like a lot of information
is being shared, there are a few sites that manage to stay true to
some of the original hopes for the web.
One of the first I ran into is Everything2, a web-based, user-developed encyclopedia.
Also well known (in certain circles) are Wiki and Nupedia,
which are both similar projects —
there are a few others.

Of course I don't go to those sites, I normally search the whole web using Google.
Heck, I even use Google as a
spell checker.

Big Blue

I've recently re-watched an old 1980s movie called "Big Blue" by
Luc Besson, who also directed
"La Femme Nikita,"
"The Professional" and
"The Fifth Element" — all very cool movies.

The movie is about freediving and loosely about some
of the colorful characters who have practiced the sport. It also
has Rosanna Arquette, and I like her work. Arquette chicks rule!

The movie is very good, if you like odd movies. Go rent the thing, but remember —
dolphins don't want to talk to you.
