Today's Random Thoughts
I really like that old guy in the investment commercials ... what's his name ... Vonnegut? But I've never really been able to figure you what he does. Here is a three part interview that, well, doesn't help all that much, but he sure is an interesting person.
Speaking of people who might every well be writers, I really liked the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books and I'm glad that someone is putting up a fun, irreverent (if earthbound) version of the Guide. Of course that 'someone' would have to be the folks at the BBC.
Whilst looking over the Guide, I wondered -- how soon then, until the Earth is knocked flat as part of some Galactic construction project? Naturally, there is a web site covering that and other means of doom. Fun reading!
Of course the whole England thing put me on the look for that particular British export -- madcap satire. So take a look at Ship of Fools, and The Surrealist -- home of some TV listings that are slightly reminiscent of TV Go Home, which was really funny for a while -- if you like that sort of thing.
Oh yeah ... Who does this guy think he is? Note -- this has nothing to do with zany British madcap satire.
