Kicking it Old School
I've added another classic Macintosh to my collection, an Apple Classic. The Classics, with 8 MHz of CPU and a 9" B&W screen aren't considered Apple's best, but I still like the little thing.
It is the first machine I've used in a while with System 6, which some people still like a lot. I've come to appreciate System 6, which gives you a usable networking, graphical operating system on a machine with only 2 MB of RAM -- and still leaves 1,336K free for applications.
I know, that seems silly today as I'm typing in a text editor that is using 12,040K of RAM, but I still like the old machines -- even if I prefer to do most of my work on a newer one.
