There are some websites where it is unnecessary to look at every day. Indeed for some perhaps almost never.

Bang.com has evolved from a hauntingly odd one-pager to a place-holder site to a strangely violent music site -- but if you have visited it three times in the past five years you have seen it all. On the other side of the spectrum are sites like the original tragedy of the commons, Slashdot -- which you have to keep refreshing almost constantly, before you realize that they really are drowning, not waving.

Somewhere in the middle, lies McSweeneys.

You don't really have to go there a lot, much of the content is well of the mark into studied incomprehensibility, but sometimes there is something good. That is where RouseWorld comes in. If you haven't taken a look in a while, here are two pieces that are good.
