Cat on a warm straw roof

As I've mentioned, RouseHouse has a few cats in residence, a small black and larger white and gray. Both are wild and a bit hard to capture on camera.

But the other day I drove up to the house and discovered the black sitting on the roof ... snoozing. I just had to grab the camera and take a picture.

Welcome to RouseWorld 'Classic'

I've always kinda liked the old RouseWorld layout, and never really totally moved from it, but never really felt comfortable messing too deeply with my CMS templates. But now that I'm more comfortable with MovableType, the CMS I've chosen, I've decided to do a total customization.

The other cat

I pulled up to my house the other day and saw the other cat — the gray and white one. Of course by the time I got inside, got the camera and got back outside he was off the porch and out of my yard.

Techno fetish

I had been trying to be strong, but in the end I just couldn't resist. You see ... the mouse cord was driving me nuts. It swung back from the mouse down to the keyboard return under the desk (to a USB plug on the keyboard) and I never could get it situated comfortably. Of course rational solutions like a USB extension cable — so I could bring the cord around the back of the monitor just didn't appeal to me — not like the idea of a wireless mouse.
