Welcome to RouseWorld 'Classic'
I've always kinda liked the old RouseWorld layout, and never really totally moved from it, but never really felt comfortable messing too deeply with my CMS templates. But now that I'm more comfortable with MovableType, the CMS I've chosen, I've decided to do a total customization.
The new version has a from-scratch CSS stylesheet — very EM based. It also has some changes from the MT archiving defaults in an attempt to make the site easier to navigate.
I'm also using two plugins — Index Stripper (for cruftless urls) and Close Comments (to fight comment spam).
I'll also be turning in the other old sections of the site: Wayward Packet, obsoleteSoftware, Art Gallery and Questions into blogs of their own. The idea, of course, being to do more with them. We'll see what happens.
I built this using Bare Bones Software's BBBEdit, the world's best text editor.
