Back to normal?
Well, things are going back to normal — I guess, what ever that means. The Mom got the key to her house this past Friday and intends to move out this week.

That old 'what is art' argument
The 'what is art' question, presented in an interesting way by the metafilter crowd. If a four-year-old can create it, is it art? Is painting itself the creative act that makes something art — or is giving a painting a clever name and hanging it in a gallery the act that makes the painting "art?"

Jandek is alive!
From MetaFilter, again, the reclusive Texas musician Jandek played a live set at a Glasgow music festival this week.
I still don't expect to see him on iTunes anytime soon, though.
Wait a minute — they do have one of his songs on a compilation CD. Ha!
