Back to normal?
Well, things are going back to normal — I guess, what ever that means. The Mom got the key to her house this past Friday and intends to move out this week.
I suppose nothing ever really returns to "the way it was." Interruptions and disruptions change us and our worlds and normal becomes something different from what it used to be. I'll be glad to get my favorite desk back, but the house will seem lonely without the roommates, I think.
I can't really be sad though, the Mom is a very independent chick and I know she will be happier with her own place (and she hates my furniture).
A funny observation — after she decided to crash at the RouseHouse, she noticed that I was out of toothpaste and bought a new tube for me. I'm now almost out again — so this whole episode has lasted the span of a tube of toothpaste.
Anyway, I'll stop here ... I don't want to get too LJ out here.

Thanks, I'm really not as down as the post sounds -- its just been a strange trip, and I'm not really sure what it all means to me yet.
Hey, things have gone really, really well for me -- compared to 99% of the people on the planet ... you know that better than me.
Yeah!!!!
Maybe you should write some entries and title them The Toothpaste Monologues.
Ha.
Actually, just saw today a few comments you made in my LJ about 2 months ago.
But then again, I have just gotten back to writing in there.
Most recently, "The 'K' Word."
See ya.
What is this 'normal' of which you speak??
LH -- Yes, I feel neglectful not keeping up with things. It is sad with K that her "treatment" is probably pushing her further away from the norm rather than pulling her back in.
saskia -- Exactly, normal is at best a mirage and at worse a facade. Oh well ... growing is.
Sorry dude
