I like to play around with various programming languages and platforms (everything from UNIX to old Radio Shack calculators). So, if you are feeling lucky, feel free to download something.

AppleScript

  • Dump Palm Addresses To Mailsmith 2.0: An updated verion of "get addresses from Palm" that works with Mac OS X, Palm Desktop 4 and Mailsmith 1.5. The notes for the script below still apply to this one, I justb changed the name to better reflect what the script actually does.
  • get addresses from Palm: An AppleScript for Mailsmith that takes contacts with e-mail addresses from the Palm Desktop PIM and dumps them into Mailsmith's address book. Version 1.0 isn't very smart; it doesn't try to sync between Palm Desktop and Mailsmith, it doesn't check for duplicate entries in Mailsmith's address book and the script needs to be edited for each user's categories and labels settings. The script was developed using Palm Desktop 2.5 and Mailsmith 1.1.5 but it should work with most versions of Mailsmith and Claris Organizer (which is what Palm Desktop is based on).

Perl

  • yajb: A perl script (for Unix systems, also requires a command-line mpg player) that plays random mp3 files from a directory tree. Very much in beta, but has a feature that prevent repeats (up to a set limit). Other features, well, I'm working on them. The name means, Yet Another Juke Box.

NewtonScript

  • DiceMan: A little dice rolling palette for Newton OS 2.x machines, suitable for AD&D® style roll-playing games.

DOS

  • HAPYSCRN.EXE: The happy, non-screensaving screensaver that changed everything!
