Yet another Movie Idea
Ideagraph, or
The Mark from the Beast

(RouseWorld) — The movie is set in the near future, but not exactly our world. It is a world preparing for a final apocalypse, a world where vast commercial powers wage war for people's souls.

The main characters are a male private police officer and his client, a female genetics scientist. In this world, no one who can afford private police trusts what is left of the public law enforcement community. The woman has learned that someone has genetically engineered a spider that has multiple stingers and ink instead of the normal spidery venom. The spiders have the driven behavior of seeking a patch of skin and quickly tattooing a logo. The spiders then drop off, dead.

It seems like an almost harmless prank, but some people seem to be very allergic to the ink/venom and are falling over dead almost as quickly as the little tatoo artists. And there is the issue of the logo itself. No one seems to know what company owns the logo, although a law firm does turn up that fights against its use by anyone except the spiders (i.e. news organizations that are trying to cover the outbreak). The woman wants to know who is behind this (a friend of hers died in a club from one of the spiders) and hires the private policeman to protect her.
