Take me home... Take me to the moon...
This is RouseWorldQuestions

Every subject on the Internet has a Frequently Asked Questions list, even obscure subjects like this site — where people really don't have any questions. So, needed are not, here is my list of "frequently" asked questions about RouseWorld.

This time I've done them in the classic "who, what, when, where, why" style.

Who?

Who me? I'm David Rouse, just a nice guy who means well (or thinks he does). I try to get by doing IT chores for a local newspaper. I try to have a good time to, but don't believe all those stories you hear.

They say you can judge someone by the company they keep, so here are some websites of people I hang out with or dig:

What?

The site is maintained using Six Apart's Movable Type, Bare Bones Software's BBEdit and Adobe's Photoshop. All that software lives on an Apple G5 computer, and I like it a lot. The server itself is some little Sun box somewhere.

In the past I've used tools like GoLive, Macromedia's Extreme 3D, and Yves Piguet's GifBuilder. Other hardware includes a Canon Digital Rebel.

The site is designed to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's guidelines for XTML 1.0 Transitional markup with CSS 2 presentation. The site and the site's css stylesheet should validate.

Standards aside, the site is produced as a mix of structural and visual design.

When?

In the now, baby — everything is in the moment.

But seriously, according to my log files this site has been running (one way or another) since August of 1999.

Where?

Me and the server live in eastern North Carolina, USA.

Why?

Errr, right. Well, just as a hobby I guess. I wanted to learn about HTML and web hosting, etc. This seemed to be the best way to do it.
