Every subject on the Internet has a Frequently Asked Questions list, even obscure subjects like this site &mdash; where people really don't have any questions. So, needed are not, here is my list of &quot;frequently&quot; asked questions about RouseWorld.
</p>

<p>
This time I've done them in the classic &quot;who, what, when, where, why&quot; style.
</p>

<h2>
Who?
</h2>

<p>
Who me? I'm David Rouse, just a nice guy who means well (or thinks he does). I try to get by doing IT chores for a local newspaper. I try to have a good time to, but don't believe all those stories you hear.
</p>

<p>
They say you can judge someone by the company they keep, so here are some websites of people I hang out with or dig:
</p>

<ul>
<li>Kevin Webb's <a href="http://hometown.aol.com/frodie69/myhomepage/Highlander.html">AD&amp;D and Highlander</a> page</li>

<li>Saskia's <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/foxxydancr/">LiveJournal</a></li>

<li>Alex Winston's <a href="http://users.gloryroad.net/~stonecrow/index.html.htm">art site</a></li>

<li>Chelsea's <a href="http://radio.weblogs.com/0112183/">Radio Free Albemuth</a></li>

</ul>

<h2>
What?
</h2>

<p>
The site is maintained using <a href="http://www.sixapart.com/">Six Apart</a>'s <a href="http://www.movabletype.org/">Movable Type</a>, <a href="http://www.barebones.com/">Bare Bones Software</a>'s <a href="http://www.barebones.com/products/bbedit/">BBEdit</a> and <a href="http://www.adobe.com/">Adobe</a>'s <a href="http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/">Photoshop</a>. All that software lives on an <a href="http://www.apple.com/">Apple</a> G5 computer, and I like it a lot. The server itself is some little <a href="http://www.sun.com/">Sun</a> box somewhere.
<p>

<p>
In the past I've used tools like <a href="http://www.adobe.com/products/golive/">GoLive</a>, <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/">Macromedia</a>'s Extreme 3D, and Yves Piguet's <a href="http://iawww.epfl.ch/Staff/Anciens/Yves.Piguet/clip2gif-home/GifBuilder.html">GifBuilder</a>. Other hardware includes a <a href="http://www.usa.canon.com/">Canon</a> Digital Rebel.
</p>

<p>
The site is designed to conform to the <a href="http://www.w3.org/">World Wide Web Consortium</a>'s guidelines for <a href="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/">XTML 1.0 Transitional</a> markup with <a href="http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/">CSS 2</a> presentation. The site and the site's css stylesheet <strong>should</strong> validate.
</p>

<p>
Standards aside, the site is produced as a mix of structural and visual design.
</p>

<h2>
When?
</h2>

<p>
In the now, baby &mdash; everything is in the moment.
</p>

<p>
But seriously, according to my log files this site has been running (one way or another) since August of 1999.
</p>

<h2>
Where?
</h2>

<p>
Me and the server live in eastern North Carolina, USA.
</p>

<h2>
Why?
</h2>

<p>
Errr, right. Well, just as a hobby I guess. I wanted to learn about HTML and web hosting, etc. This seemed to be the best way to do it.
